As part of our whanau kaupapa this year, we are providing opportunities for our students to become Tuakana (Leader, Guide, Big Brother, Big Sister). These roles allow students to develop leadership roles and responsibilities. Tuakana roles can happen right across the curriculum whether it be in Math, Reading, Writing and so on. We have seen a number of students step into these roles.
Below: Whetu King Taufa teaches the boys the fine art of bombing. I believe this is one of the safest methods to enter the water if it is done correctly. Ka rawe Whetu.
